7 The One (A)forming light and (B)creating darkness,
Causing [a]well-being and (C)creating calamity;
I am the Lord who does all these.
God’s Supreme Power
8 “(D)Drip down, O heavens, from above,
And let the clouds pour down righteousness;
Let the (E)earth open up and salvation bear fruit,
(F)And righteousness spring up with it.
I, the Lord, have created it.
9 “Woe to the one who (G)quarrels with his [b]Maker—
An earthenware vessel [c]among the vessels of earth!
Will the (H)clay say to the [d]potter, ‘What are you doing?’
Or the thing you are making say, ‘He has no hands’?
